Role Context:
We are looking for a capable and enterprising Business Intelligence Manager to join our Colgate Global Media Operations team in NYC. We need someone who prides themselves on being able to grasp complex technical dilemmas and translate them to non-technical stakeholders, building strong relationships and finding constant synergy along the way. This role will report directly to the Global Media Lead and work closely and collaboratively with other global discipline leads across the integrated WPPCP team, as well as client counterparts across IT and Digital departments.
Core Responsibilities & Qualities:
- Drive the global adoption, maintenance and improvement of tools & processes related to business intelligence and data quality
- Act as the subject matter expert in these tools and processes, gathering further information and requirements from other media- and data-related SMEs around the business to evangelize best practices and inform continuous standardization and improvement
- Manage the creation of project plans, prioritization of tasks, and hold all internal and external parties responsible for deadlines and deliverables
- Operate on multiple levels:
- On-the-ground: embed yourself in each region/market/division to ensure the timely progression of projects and to block-and-tackle challenges as they arise
- 10,000 feet: provide regular executive updates to both agency and Colgate leadership on overall project health and the scaling of major global initiatives
- Operate on a global scale
- Establish global standards to ensure quality, continuity and impact across the business
- Be simultaneously judicious about when a tailored, region-specific approach is more effective
- Create a global community across WPP and CP where best practices, results and opportunities are continuously shared and optimized
- Lead internal technical teams through automation projects that improve existing manual processes
Skills & Experience
- 4-6 years’ experience in data governance processes in a data warehousing, ETL and business intelligence environment
- 4-6 years’ experience in the media ecosystem (digital investment, programmatic trading, analytics, or ad operations)
- Bachelors Degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related technical field required
- Experience as a trusted advisor to clients
- Experience working on global business with markets & divisions across various regions
- Experience with advertising campaign management/buying platforms (namely MediaTools, Mediaocean/Prisma, Google Campaign Manager/AdServers, DoubleVerify, Meta, Pinterest, Snapchat, TikTok, Google Ads, SA360, DV360, The Trade Desk, Amazon, Yahoo, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics)
- Strong familiarity with at least one major business intelligence tool (Datorama a plus, but also Tableau, Power BI, Looker etc.)
- Strong familiarity with media data taxonomy (development, maintenance, compliance), experience with Claravine a plus
- Strong familiarity with APIs, specifically media platform reporting APIs (JSON/development skills not required, but it will be critical to understand how they are used, developed, and scaled within complex data processes); experience with an API manager (i.e. Adverity) a plus
- Familiarity with relational database management systems (SQL, Microsoft Azure) a plus
- Familiarity with at least one programming language (SQL, Python, R, JavaScript/JSON) a plus

The base salary for this position at the time of this posting may range from $60,000 to $140,000. Individual compensation varies based on job-related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility and qualifications.
